The officers of the congregation shall be Christian examples to the other members of the congregation by regularly participating in worship services, by hearing and doing God's Word, by frequently partaking in the Lord's Supper, and by rendering willing service to the congregation and assistance to the Pastor. Officers must be at least 18 years of age to hold office; an Elder must be at least 35 years old. All officers, either elected or appointed, shall be members in good standing of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. In the event of an appointment of an officer by the Church Council, the term may not exceed the term limits set in the Constitution .
